Our 2026 recital is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, with dress rehearsal on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Jaime Foxx Performing Arts Center in Terrell.

Dress rehearsal will take place late afternoon/early evening after school, so please plan accordingly.

At this time (as of January 11), the date and venue are tentative. We have verbal confirmation and agreement from Terrell ISD, and we will provide final confirmation as soon as the contract is signed.

💛 We know families need time to plan, which is why we’re sharing this early. We do not expect changes, but we want to be transparent until everything is officially finalized.

Our recital is a full production—and we want the best possible experience for both performers and families. For that reason, we are choosing a venue that offers a true stage, professional lighting/sound options, and increased seating capacity. This allows our students to perform confidently and ensures our audience can comfortably enjoy the show. 

We’re open to future options, but for 2026 we’re prioritizing the best stage experience for our students.

Yes. We always work hard to keep recital costs as low as possible—but there is a real cost to producing a safe, organized, and successful show. Recital fees help cover expenses such as the venue, staffing, costumes, props, and production needs.

Costume Fee: $75 (due April 1)
Recital/Production Fee: $75 (due May 1)

In some cases, families may also need to purchase additional basic costume pieces such as tights, leggings, or a specific shirt (we will communicate these details clearly and early).

We will also offer optional opportunities to purchase ads and shoutouts in the recital program — more details coming soon!

💛 We truly want every student to participate. Please don’t let finances be the reason your child misses the show. If you need support, reach out to us first — do not pull your child out of recital. We will have fundraising options available for families who would like them (more information coming soon).

Yes. Tickets will be required for audience members. Each student will get 2 free tickets as part of their recital fee. Details, pricing, and ticket release dates will be shared closer to recital.

Yes — and we love that initiative! We are always looking for specialty performances (such as solos, duets, and small groups) to add extra excitement and variety to the show.

If your child is interested, please reach out to Mrs. Joy so we can help you find the right fit and the best plan for your student.

Please note: specialty performances typically require additional rehearsal time, and there may be additional fees to cover choreography and teacher time. We will also discuss costume needs at that time.

Yes! We will definitely need parent volunteers to help make recital weekend run smoothly. Volunteer opportunities may include helping with props (sourcing materials, building, and prepping items) and assisting with backstage support (helping manage students and keeping transitions organized).

You may also have a special skill, job background, or resources that could help us tremendously — we’d love to know!

For any parents working directly with students (especially our younger performers), it is helpful if you have already completed a school volunteer background check. If you haven’t done one yet, no problem — just let us know and we can help arrange this ahead of recital.

We understand conflicts happen. If you know your child cannot participate, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan formations and spacing accordingly. They can still attend class and learn the dance. We will just not have them in the final formations.

Costumes will be provided with their costume fee, but families may need to purchase basic items such as tights/leggings/shoes depending on the performance. Students will also be given a recital t-shirt that they will wear in the opening number. We will communicate those details clearly.
